I feel my energy have gotten worse and worse in the last weeks/months – so I really need to do some changes – and try to reverse the situation – I think I’ve gotten into a bad / black

circle, – and that there is many factors leading to my lowered energy level.

Tired after finishing the “race” Nordsjørittet at 2010-06-12

I had a good run of 17 days with exercise in the start of May, – but my training habit failed after my bachelor party and wedding preparations (no excuse – I know – but its the explanation ).

Also my sleeping pattern is not good – and I have slept badly for a long time – always leaving me tired ( except then I should go to bed in the evening :-( )

Many times I fail to get small things done – in lack of determination to do them – maybe I have a bunch of small things to do – and in stead of doing one by one – I cant determinate which one to prioritize first – and ending up postponing it for late evening ( = less sleep ) – or leaving it undone for a long time :-(     -  making me even more stressed for later…

Of course there is many more things I could do to get my energy level improved – but I try to focus on some things first.

1. Improve my sleeping / bedtime habits – try to go to bed earlier – and much more regularly  -  As well the same for getting up in the mornings more regularly

.

2. Improve my eating habits – cut down on carbohydrates ( especially the fast carbo like sugar) both in food and drinks, increase my fiber intake.

3. Exercise more, – try to get in at least 30 minutes (medium effect) exercise – at least 5 days in the week – and hopefully more. Main focus on walking, biking (to work?) and an occasional run.  Also start training my back a little every day- and maybe even start training my strength later.    ( example link from a Norwegian newspaper : Training for slackers )

4. Try to get things done, earlier and maybe a bit faster.

5. Be more structured in general

6…..  probably some more :)

.

Maybe I will write more things about my improvement plans (maybe more details), and updates later.
